"..a bit REM, if they were one woman" [Smash Hits]

"..wide-eyed lyrics, acoustic guitar strums and dream pop, swirling melodies, all wrapped up in one engaging whole" [The Independent]

"Undeniable, weirdly regal" [Melody Maker]

Nut is a girl from England, she has released (so Piccy of Nut's album coverfar) three singles (or possibly four), and one album in the UK. A full discography is listed below, and you never know, I might manage to come up with a full web-page along the lines of the Heather Nova ones back at the Home Page. Although, have you ever tried doing a web-search on "nut"? I rest my case.

I don't know too much about nut yet, apart from going to see her three times (although only getting to see her twice, the third time she didn't turn up, as the snow came down, I was there... waiting. But never mind. Anyway, the first time was supporting Heather Nova, of all people, and me and my friends all thought, "Oooh, this nut aren't bad are they?" We since later discovered that is should have been "Oooh, nut isn't bad is she?" But minor details apart, she is truly excellent. Probably best likened to early Everything But the Girl, but with a lot more Grit! She has a very shrill voice sometimes, a bit like a tuneful (and in time) Bjork. Anyway, if anybody has any more information on nut, please eMail me at the address below. Anyway, to the discography.

Piccy of nut.
